At the ASEAN Plus Three, APT Summit, His Majesty in a titah emphasises the importance of the ASEAN Plus Three Emergency Rice Reserve, APTERR mechanism, enabling swift and coordinated responses to food shortages and emergencies. His Majesty further stated that the upcoming APTERR Tabletop Exercise to be hosted by Brunei Darussalam at the end of the year will reinforce the reserve's preparedness and capacity for rapid action.

At the Summit, the ASEAN Leaders and ASEAN Plus Three discussed matters of interest to further strengthen cooperation under the APT platform such as economic security and integration, digital security, and green energy.
